Spotlight on Elizabeth Williams - OH Intern - Summer '09

Meet Elizabeth Williams...

Elizabeth will be serving as an OH intern in Tegucigalpa, Honduras for 8 weeks in the Hogar Torrech (halfway home) and Casitas Kennedy (orphanage). During her internship, Elizabeth will be ministering to children through a combination of mentorship, English classes and Bible studies.

Elizabeth has participated on an Orphan Helpers trip in the past with her hometown church, First Baptist Church of Norfolk in Virginia.
Elizabeth states that she has always loved Central America but, she feels especially passionate about the work that Orphan Helpers is doing with the children and teenagers.

Elizabeth majored in Religion and minored in Hispanic studies at the College of William and Mary in Williamsburg, VA. She has devoted much time to the study of other cultures and loves to travel. She has visited Kyoto, Montevideo, Buenos Aires, London, Spain and has spent time studying Spanish in Costa Rica.

Elizabeth is extremely talented! She spent time as a Spanish tutor in the Americorp program and was a school volunteer with Global Volunteers in the Cook Islands. Elizabeth currently resides in Virginia where she teaches Spanish.
